Resumen
The main objective of this article is to compare the political and regulatory evolution of artificial intelligence (AI) in Chile and Colombia in order to propose convergent foundations for algorithmic transparency as a safeguard for human dignity in the public sector. To this end, it adopts a comparative law approach applied to public policy instruments that advocate enhanced democratic transparency safeguards in AI-driven decision-making. The central thesis is that convergent foundations for algorithmic transparency are crucial to ensuring human dignity in the public sector. The conclusions emphasize the urgency of five fundamental principles for developing strategies that ensure not only innovation but also human oversight, transparency, accountability, and effective responsibility, which constitute key pillars for a digital transition toward automation.
