Resumen

This chapter analyzes the construction of an intersubjective, reflexive, and feminist methodological strategy for the project on gender inequalities in the social sciences that gave rise to this book. Composing the main qualitative instrument—the interview script to be applied to female researchers and university professors—was a transcendent learning experience for the research team. The text addresses this process with the aim of reflecting on the negotiation of testimonies and interviews in a feminist ethnography. The authors begin by describing the formulation of the interview script and opening up regarding the research team’s sensitivities. They also explain the decision to apply it to those who were part of this team before going into the field. In addition, they explore the reflections and analysis of their own experiences of gender inequality and violence in academia carried out in weekly workshops with a therapist. They conclude by discussing the limits and possibilities of (self-)recognition in the methodology adopted.
