Abstract
Discourse is the fusion of a speaker with a language that expresses a social interest. The scientific disciplines become discourses of a particular kind when they turn certain facts of experience into objects of observation. Each discourse shares interests with others while competing for the attention of those inspired by them. At present, all that which we can call a «psychic» discipline faces the challenge of building and legitimizing a specialized language, not only with the resources of natural tongues but also with the potentially accessible experiences of most people. It happens in psychiatry, as it does in other disciplines, that crossed fertilization with other discourses imposes themes and twists of language that acquire a transitory hegemony.
