Abstract
In this article we analyze the relationship between family patterns and the economic practices of Chinese commercial networks in their expansion into Latin America. During the last ten years, Chinese merchants settled in Spain, mainly families from the Zhejiang province, have begun to move to Latin America, especially Chile, controlling extensive global chains of goods that penetrate other South American countries. We will first describe its characteristics and then discuss which of them enhance or hinder its business logic and business expansion.
