Abstract
In this letter, we first consider the famous non-vacuum solution of general relativity for a static spherically symmetric charged object, i.e. the Reissner-Nordström solution. Afterwards, by adopting an isotropic coordinate system, we derive the equivalent form of this solution in the so-called geometry. Then we discuss the gravitational redshift in the consequent spacetime.
