Abstract
In this paper a simulated study of the application of fractional order controllers (FOC) to back-to-back (BTB) converters is presented. A comparison with the corresponding integer order controller is dicussed. The study is performed in the context of the operation of a permanent magnet synchronous generator (PMSG) driven by a variable mechanical source and connected to an electrical network through a DC-Link and two converters in a BTB configuration.
