Abstract
The paper suggests a conceptual outline that organizes the Chilean Constitutional Court case law regarding the right to effective legal protection and due process of law. Paying attention to the latest academic literature, the paper proposes doctrinal categories to distinguish the components and faculties of each right. The authors conclude that both rights are increasingly construed by the Chilean constitutional jurisprudence and that their systematization would provide legal certainty to future decisions.
