Abstract
This brief communication proposes to characterize, based on the stories of various students at the Chilean school system, certain dimensions of an ideal class of school literary reading. With a qualitative case approach, 12 narratives collected in individual interviews are examined. After a thematic analysis, we conclude the presence of four sub themes that help characterize an ideal class: 1.-mediations not focused on memorization, 2.-literary conversation, 3.-promotion of creativity and 4.-relevance of emotions.
