Abstract
The problems posed by human obesity must be approached from a multidisciplinary perspective, considering its biological, social and economic determinants. In the ethical dimension the analysis should be performed at the individual and the societal levels in order to confront problems presented within the macro, the meso and the microstructure of social relationships. The relationships between obesity, as a result of excessive food intake, and other chemical addictions must be considered.
