PhD in Engineering Systems from the University of Chile, and Master in Applied Economics in Public Policy from Universidad Alberto Hurtado and Georgetown University.
She is currently a research academic at the Faculty of Economics, Government and Communications, Universidad Central de Chile. She is also a member of the Research Center for Economics and Society (ESOC) at Universidad Central, and Managing Partner of the NGO MIA. Her work is interdisciplinary, with a strong focus on the application of public policy.
Her research focuses on the intersection of environmental and health economics, and applied public policy in the areas of health, environment, and natural disasters.
She also conducts research on sustainability, circular economy, and entrepreneurship. Among her most notable studies are those analyzing the implementation of Chile’s food labeling law and the impact of meteorological and environmental pollution variables on the transmission of SARS-CoV-2.
