Paulina Alejandra Troncoso Iribarren (Antofagasta, December 13, 1983) is a Chilean astronomer who researches the formation and evolution of galaxies, with an emphasis on the early stages of the Universe. She uses the synergy of observations (in the visible, infrared and submillimeter spectrum) and cosmological simulations to understand the evolution of different galaxy populations. She has dedicated herself to the dissemination of astronomy, especially for people with visual impairments and those on the autism spectrum, as well as to innovation in methodologies for communicating science.
