Personal profile

Psychologist from the University of Chile; Master's degree in Criminology from the Central University; Master's degree in Research Methodology from Diego Portales University and PhD candidate in Criminal Law from the University of Buenos Aires. She also has a postgraduate degree in Justice, Rights, and Public Policies for Children and Adolescents and a Diploma in Qualitative Research Methodology, both from Diego Portales University. She is currently a professor, researcher, and director of the Master's program in Criminal Justice at the Faculty of Law and Humanities at the Central University of Chile. She has conducted studies and published works on the prison system, access to justice for persons deprived of liberty, secondary victimization, fear of crime, and gender violence. She has taught at various universities and courses for the Judicial Academy and the Public Prosecutor's Office. She is co-author of the books: “A New Era for Criminal Justice” (2014); “Violence Against Partners: Harsher Penalties, Greater Violence” (2016); and “Non-Citizenship: On the Legal and Real Exclusion of People in the Prison System” (2023).
