Professor of History and Geography, holding a Bachelor of Education, a Master's in Curriculum Development and Educational Projects, and a Ph.D. in Communication from the Universidad de La Frontera and the Universidad Austral de Chile. My academic and professional work is centred on university teaching, interdisciplinary research, and technology-driven educational innovation. I have extensive experience leading and collaborating on research initiatives that examine digital literacy, technology adopti0on, and the integration of artificial intelligence within educational settings. I currently hold a research position at the Universidad Central de Chile and am an active member of the Centre for Research on Quality Education for Equity (CIECE). I am the Principal Investigator for the FONIDE Project FON2400113: “Territorial Diagnosis of Digital Capacities in Rural Contexts: Resistances and Enablers in the Appropriation of Artificial Intelligence.” This research project is designed to evaluate and enhance the digital competencies of educators in rural communities in response to the emergence of artificial intelligence.
