I began my undergraduate studies at the School of Psychology, University of Chile. I obtained my bachelor's and master's degrees in psychology from the University of Joensuu, Finland, in 1982. In 1992, I obtained a postgraduate degree in family and couples therapy from the Chilean Institute of Family Therapy. In 2003, I enrolled in the Doctoral Program in Psychology at the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile. I received my doctorate in July 2007 with highest honors. My doctoral work focused on the psychological construction of meaning in children who have suffered sexual abuse.

Currently, I contribute t at the Universidad Central de Chile with my experience in research and clinical intervention in childhood, in qualitative analysis of psychological processing, contributing to innovative methodologies. I publish regularly in indexed journals and attend seminars and conferences in my field.
