My research line falls within the field of Nonlinear Physics, with focus on soft matter problems. Much of my work has been centered on the study of plate elasticity and the tearing of thin sheets, in which the material’s response shows a strong dependence on the system’s geometry. Additionally, I have conducted research in other areas of nonlinear physics, including problems in granular media, wave propagation in complex media, and the analysis of dynamical systems.
