Personal profile

Israel González Marino is a Lawyer and holds a Bachelor of Legal Sciences from Universidad Católica del Norte. He obtained a Master’s Degree in Animal Law and Society from Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona and a Master’s Degree in Curriculum Development and Educational Projects from Universidad Andrés Bello. He is currently an academic and Research Coordinator at the Faculty of Law and Humanities of Universidad Central de Chile, Coquimbo campus. His research focuses on Animal Law and Legal Education.

Research Interests

Animal Law: with an emphasis on the constitutionalization of animal protection, the de-objectification of animals, the regulation of coexistence and responsible ownership, multispecies families, and normative and jurisprudential developments in Latin America. Legal Education: focused on teaching and assessment strategies in the legal field, the development of generic and specific competencies in law students, and the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL).
