Ismael Puga holds a Ph.D. in Sociology from Humboldt University of Berlin. His current research explores the role of ideology in legitimizing social structures and political institutions, with a particular focus on the intersections between economic constraints, collective action, political and social polarization, and the dynamics of social anomie. He employs a combination of quantitative, qualitative, and mixed-methods approaches. His work has been published in leading journals such as Social Forces, Feminist Economics, and Social Movement Studies.
