Isabel Ximena González Ramírez is a Lawyer from the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile, with a Master's degree in Substantive and Procedural Criminal Law and a Doctorate from the University of Buenos Aires, specializing in criminal law. She is the director of the Master's in Mediation and the Diploma in Restorative Justice and Adolescent Criminal Responsibility.She is a researcher and tenured professor of Criminal Law, Mediation, and Restorative Justice at both undergraduate and graduate levels at the Central University of Chile, in Master's programs at various universities, and in the Doctoral programs in Law at the University of Buenos Aires and Central University of Chile, where she is also part of the academic committee. She regularly teaches judges at the Judicial Academy on collaborative conflict resolution.She has been a key figure in the development of restorative justice and mediation in Chile, across various governmental and international entities such as the Ministry of Justice, the United Nations Development Programme, and the Agency for Cooperacion International Operations, Criminal Defense, and in private entities, as director of the Mediation, Negotiation, and Arbitration Center of the Faculty of Law at the Central University of Chile and mediator for the Santiago Chamber of Commerce. Since 2010, she has created and directed the first master's programs in Mediation, Arbitration, and Restorative Justice, which have been offered in Chile by the Central University, disciplines that she has disseminated through various research, international congresses, publications, and editorial committees. She directed the Access to Justice program of the Ministry of Justice and Human Rights, where she served for 10 years. She was in charge of the Legal Assistance Department of the Ministry of Justice, where she created a National Network for Access to Justice and Restorative Justice. She has published more than 40 articles in important national and international indexed journals, book chapters, and books from recognized publishers. , of the Ministry of Justice and Human Rights. She has been an organizer and speaker in recent years at various national and international congresses and seminars. She is an evaluator for Fondecyt projects, for publications in various indexed journals, such as the Law Review of the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile, the University of Talca, and the University of Austral, among others.
