Personal profile

Personal profile

Dr Felipe Tejo graduated in 2018 with a PhD in Physics from the University of Santiago of Chile, obtaining his degree with highest distinction. He subsequently pursued a postdoctoral fellowship at the same institution, under the supervision of Dr Juan Escrig, and later a postdoctoral appointment at the Institute of Materials Science of Madrid (ICMM-CSIC), in the Group of Nanomagnetism and Magnetization Processes, under the supervision of Dr Oksana Fesenko. He has been awarded a Fondecyt Postdoctoral Project (2022) and a Fondecyt Initiation Research Project (2024), consolidating a research trajectory focused on the computational modelling of complex magnetic systems. Dr Tejo is an expert in theoretical and computational approaches to nanoscale magnetism, publishing actively in Web of Science–indexed journals and collaborating with researchers both in Chile and abroad. At present, he serves as a Researcher at Vicerrectoría de Investigación, Innovación y Postgrado of the Universidad Central de Chile.

Research Interests

Dr Felipe Tejo conducts his research in the field of condensed matter physics and nanoscale magnetism, with a theoretical focus on the study of magnetic solitons in two and three dimensions. His work explores the topological and dynamical properties of these configurations through analytical models and computational simulations. This research contributes to the advancement of fundamental knowledge and its applications in spintronics and the development of emerging information technologies.
