Benoît Delooz Brochet holds a Doctorate in Legal Sciences from the University of Toulouse 1 Capitole (France) and a Doctorate in Law from the University of Chile; a Master's Degree in Public Policy from the University of Chile; and a DEA Recherche in Public Policy from the University of Social Sciences of Toulouse I. He is currently a professor of public law at the Central University of Chile and a member of the faculty of the Doctorate in Law program at the same university. He is the principal investigator for FONDECYT Regular Project No. 11160082: “The regional land use plan as an instrument of multilevel territorial climate governance” (2023-2026) and FONDECYT Initiation Project No. 11160082: "Theory and Practice of Joint Territorial Action. Foundations for a new legal paradigm of decentralization, with special relevance for Chile" (2016-2019).

Research Interests

His research focuses on comparative administrative and constitutional law; modernization and reform of the state; land use planning, biodiversity, and climate change.
