Organization profile

Organization profile

The Center for Research in Materials Engineering (CIIMAT) aims to promote active collaboration and a multidisciplinary approach in the field of materials engineering to advance the country's scientific and technological development. Furthermore, it seeks to establish itself as a complementary pillar for national science, focused on strengthening research, addressing fundamental scientific questions, and generating new applications that benefit society.

To this end, CIIMAT is dedicated to the experimental study of advanced materials, with the goal of understanding and optimizing the properties of both linear and non-linear systems. This work includes the analysis of nanostructured, soft, composite, and molecular matter. Its efforts integrate applied research in strategic areas such as energy, biotechnology, robotics, and nanotechnology.
